BJP will contest alone in Karnataka… Amit Shah said in Bengaluru – JDS spreading rumors of alliance

Bengaluru: Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that BJP will go it alone in the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections. Urging BJP workers to ensure the formation of a government with a two-thirds majority, he said the party would go it alone in the 2023 elections. He said it would be a straight fight as voting for the Janata Dal (Secular) would be like voting for the Congress. Referring to the BJP, he also urged people to decide whether they stand with the “party of patriots” or the “tukde tukde gang” led by the Congress.

Amit Shah said, ‘There are clearly two sides and this time there is a straight fight. Journalists say that there is a triangular fight. I say no, it is a straight fight, because voting for JD(S) means voting for Congress. So, is it a straight fight or not?’ He alleged that the JD(S) was spreading rumors that the BJP would forge an alliance with it.

Addressing party workers in Bengaluru, Shah said, “I have come to tell the workers and the people of Karnataka that we will not forge an alliance with any party.” We will fight alone and form the government on our own.

Targeting the Congress, he said, ‘There are clearly two sides. On one hand, there is an organization of patriots in the form of BJP and on the other hand, the tukde tukde gangs have come together under the leadership of Congress. It is for the people of Karnataka to decide whether they are with the patriots or with those who want to divide this country.

Amit Shah was addressing the conference of BJP booth presidents and booth level representatives at Palace Ground here. Referring to the BJP’s victory in Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Gujarat, Shah told party workers, “If you want to form the government, don’t form it half-heartedly, form it with a full two-thirds majority.” ‘

Shah said, ‘I have seen the mood of the people of Karnataka. People are ready (to support us), we need to go to them. Describing the Congress and the JD(S) as two sides of the same coin, he said, “Voting for the JD(S) will take Kumaraswamy to the Congress.” Give BJP a chance to form the government with a clear majority, we will end corruption, familyism and casteism and give a patriotic government in five years.

Describing Karnataka as the ‘gateway’ for the BJP in India’s south, Amit Shah expressed happiness about the response received during his visit to Mandya in the state’s ‘Old Mysuru’ region, where the party is considered weak. He asked the party workers to concentrate on their booth like Arjuna in Mahabharata could only see the bird’s eye while taking aim during archery. Shah said, “You strengthen your booth and Modiji will strengthen the country.”

Amit Shah said that on one side there is Modi and BJP who banned Popular Front of India (PFI) and on the other side it is Siddaramaiah of Congress and HD Kumaraswamy of JD(S) who withdrew cases against 1,700 PFI workers.
